Red Stick Trades operates https://redsticktrades.com. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Email and messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it to reply and to keep a record. Mail sent to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a private mailbox.
- The job posting form. If you submit a job through our form, we store everything you enter on our server. This includes your name, email address and phone number, which we use only to confirm your email address, to check the posting, and to contact you about it. We do not publish them. We send you a confirmation email, and later emails about your posting, through Resend, our email provider, and we may email our own team a copy of the posting. We run automatic checks on each posting (for example, whether your email address matches the employer's website, and whether the text looks like a known scam) and may review some by hand before they are published.
- How long we keep form submissions. If you never confirm your email address, we delete the submission after about a week. Once you confirm, we keep the submission, including your name, email address and phone number, after it is decided. We use it to recognize returning posters, to stop repeat abuse, and to answer questions about your posting. You can ask us to delete it (see "Your choices").
- Your IP address and the form. The form's server uses your IP address briefly, in memory, to limit how often one visitor can submit. We do not store it with your posting.
- Published postings. Once you confirm your email address and the posting passes our checks or is approved by us, the job details you entered (employer name, location, pay, description, and the application link or email you chose) are published on this site. Published postings are public. Search engines (including Google for Jobs) may copy them, and we cannot make others remove copies.
- Server logs. Our web server and our hosting providers, Cloudflare and Linode (Akamai Connected Cloud), process requests to deliver this site and may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and operations.
What we do not do
At this time the site has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Our pages do not set cookies. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, may use cookies or similar technology for security, for example to tell people from automated traffic. If we add analytics, advertising or affiliate links that track visits, we will update this page first.
Links to other sites
Job postings link to employers' own application pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control them.
Your choices
To ask us to remove a posting you submitted, to see or delete what we hold about you, or to delete an email conversation, write to [email protected]. To prevent abuse we may keep a minimal record, such as your email address and that a posting was declined or removed.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13.
